Publications and activities
I am very committed to raising the profile of the Translation and Interpreting industry, as well as the Videogames Localisation industry, and training the new generations of linguists. For that reason, I write articles on a regular basis and I am a frequent guest lecturer at universities such as the University of Salford, University of Leeds, University of Manchester and University of Aston. Talks range from an introduction to Games Localisation to how to build a successful career as a freelance translator and interpreter.
In addition, as part of my role as the Chair of the North-West Translators' Network (NWTN), I raise awareness of the availability of translators and interpreters in the North-West of England and often get invited to introduce the NWTN to students of universities in the area.
